About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solicitor to join our team at the TAC. As a Solicitor, you will play a critical part in ensuring the appropriate management of the TAC scheme in accordance with the Transport Accident Act. You will manage a broad portfolio of litigated and non-litigated matters, develop a deep understanding of the business needs, and provide legal advice that empowers our business clients to make strong decisions in accordance with the Transport Accident Act.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a broad portfolio of litigated and non-litigated matters
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business needs and provide legal advice
  • Represent and advocate for the organisation in a range of matters
  • Liaise closely with Plaintiff solicitors, Courts, medical experts, and other key stakeholders
Requirements
  • Entitled to or hold a current practicing certificate and admitted as an Australian Lawyer
  • Extensive knowledge of the relevant sections of the Transport Accident Act, common law principles or relevant jurisdictions, legislation and legal precedents
  • Extensive knowledge of the Courts and Tribunal Rules processes and procedures in all relevant jurisdictions
  • High degree of proficiency in managing litigation across various jurisdictions
