About the Role

This is a key leadership position within the Victorian School Building Authority, reporting to the Executive Director, Asset Management Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a branch of the Division, ensuring exemplary leadership and people management.

The role requires managing programs within budget and ensuring policy and program settings are right to achieve the organisation's objectives. This includes leading the delivery of three key programs: Small Schools Program, Asset Information Management System, and Technical Leadership Coaches.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing internal and external stakeholder relationships, particularly in relation to schools and other areas of the Department. Additionally, they will ensure robust governance, financial, and risk management for areas of responsibility.

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and experienced leader to join the Victorian School Building Authority and contribute to the effective management of school assets.

About the Victorian School Building Authority

The Victorian School Building Authority (VSBA) is part of the Department of Education. It oversees Victoria's largest school building program since the state introduced free public education in the 1870s. The VSBA upgrades and expands existing schools and plans, designs, and builds new schools to meet enrolment demand.

The VSBA also supports schools to maintain their buildings and grounds by offering expert advice and coordinating maintenance programs and grants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a branch of the Division, ensuring exemplary leadership and people management.
  • Manage programs within budget and ensure policy and program settings are right to achieve the organisation's objectives.
