Job Details

Physical Education and Sports Coordinator - Full-time, Temporary
St Joseph's College is a regional Catholic school catering for students from Three-Year-Old to Year Twelve. A Physical Education teacher is required to teach students in the Primary (Junior School) and coordinate College-based and inter-school sporting events for the Junior School.

Key Responsibilities

  • To teach Physical Education to students in the Primary School
  • To coordinate College-based and inter-school sporting events for the Junior School
  • To have the capacity to also teach in the Secondary School

Selection Criteria

  • To be supportive of the Catholic ethos of the College in the performance of their duties
  • To have the capacity to teach 3YO to Year 6 Physical Education
  • To have excellent planning skills and the ability to create programs that cater for individual differences
  • To possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with colleagues, students and parents
  • To have an excellent understanding of a variety of assessment and reporting strategies
  • To have the capacity to be a pro-active member of a professional learning community complying with legal, administrative and professional requirements

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent
  • Desirable: First Aid qualification, Lifesaving qualification, Bus licence
