Position Overview

St Joseph's College, a regional Catholic school, is seeking a Physical Education Teacher to teach students in the Primary (Junior School) and coordinate College-based and inter-school sporting events. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach in the Secondary School as well. This is an excellent opportunity for a PE teacher new to teaching or looking for a collaborative and community-based role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Physical Education to students in the Primary School.
  • Coordinate College-based and inter-school sporting events for the Junior School.
  • Have the opportunity to teach in the Secondary School.

Selection Criteria

  • Support the Catholic ethos of the College in the performance of duties.
  • Have the capacity to teach 3YO to Year 6 Physical Education.
  • Have excellent planning skills and the ability to create programs that cater for individual differences.
  • Possess highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have an excellent understanding of assessment and reporting strategies.
  • Be a pro-active member of a professional learning community.

Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent.

Desirable Qualifications

  • First Aid qualification.
  • Lifesaving qualification.
  • Bus licence.
