We are seeking an exceptional engineer who is passionate about designing, implementing and managing automation solutions that drive operational efficiency, observability and reliability.

As a member of our team, you will contribute to the development of scalable solutions using a wide range of tools, languages and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing workflows and identify areas with high levels of repetitive manual tasks.

  • Develop scripts and automation solutions to minimize TOIL within the engineering and operations teams.

  • Engineer to enhance observability practices, ultimately leading to improved Mean Time metrics in Incident Management.

  • Implement tools and processes to measure the effectiveness of TOIL reduction efforts.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and tools to streamline operations.

  • Monitor and improve the performance of automation systems and infrastructure.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code to support the automation of various platform-related activities.

  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration between platform operations and application development.

  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure the quality and reliability of automated solutions.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong background in software engineering and exceptional problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in cloud environments and containerization technologies.

  • Expertise in designing and optimizing complex CI/CD pipelines and automating infrastructure provisioning.

  • Ability to add reliability features including automated safe releases and resiliency to an existing system.

  • Ability to integrate security practices into the pipeline and debug complex production issues.
