Live Event Light Operator

The role involves working behind the scenes at live events, including concerts, festivals, and theatre productions. As a skilled lighting professional, you will be responsible for operating manual follow spotlights to track performers on stage.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in fast-paced environments where timing and focus are crucial. You will be part of a professional production crew and will have the chance to work on various projects, including music festivals, corporate shows, and theatrical performances.

  • Operate manual follow spotlights during live events
  • Respond to show cues and adapt quickly during live performance
  • Attend rehearsals and coordinate with lighting designers and stage managers
  • Maintain lighting safety protocols and proper equipment handling
  • Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
Requirements
  • Experience operating manual follow spots (at least a few live shows)
  • Strong communication and cue-following skills
  • Comfortable working at height or on elevated platforms if required
  • White Card CPCWHS1001 (required)
  • Punctual, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of working on your feet for extended periods

  • EWP or Working at Heights ticket
  • AV/lighting or live production background
  • Driver's licence and transport
  • Passion for live music, performance, or stage production
