Digital Data Specialist

This position is focused on owning the data component of our Digital PR campaigns, from research and collection to analysis and final output. You will work within a team and collaborate closely with leads to bring campaign ideas to life through accurate and compelling datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all data-related aspects of assigned Digital PR Campaigns.
- Write scripts to extract data from websites, APIs, and structured sources.
- Evaluate data for quality, feasibility, and campaign relevance.
- Develop clear methodologies explaining data sources and logic.
- Collaborate with Digital PR Leads during ideation and campaign planning.
- Contribute to ideation by advising on viable data or angles.
- Identify trends, outliers, and story potential in datasets.
- Collaborate with journalists to make complex data easy to understand.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in data analysis (agency or freelance preferred).
- Proficiency in web scraping (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Selenium, pandas).
- Strong skills in Google Sheets and Excel (e.g., cleaning, analysis, pivoting, formulas, formatting).
- Understanding of SEO and Digital PR basics.
- Able to assess data feasibility early and communicate limitations clearly.
- Strong written communication, especially in methodology writing.
- Attention to detail and time management.
- Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and comfortable managing multiple projects.
- Curious, proactive, and always up for a challenge.
