About The Role

As a Social Worker - Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing a holistic service to indigenous and non-indigenous individuals experiencing persistent mental health issues that impact their everyday living and functional capacity. You will conduct assessments and interventions, provide high-quality psychoeducation, psychotherapies, assertive support, and follow-ups, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders/services to ensure clients' needs are met in an engaging and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualised plans to support clients with mental health issues
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapies and interventions to promote clients' mental health and wellbeing
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery and client outcomes
  • Provide support coordination services to clients on the NDIS to help them reach their goals
Key Selection Criteria
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or Mental Health
  • Full registration with relevant membership body (AASW etc.)
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting people with mental health issues
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
