The role of Senior Operations Manager is a high-profile position within the youth justice sector.
- Key responsibilities include championing operational reform across key areas including program delivery, infrastructure use, rostering, and staff development.
Our goal is to engage children and young people in change by addressing their offending behaviour and equipping them with the skills required for positive community participation, within a safe and secure environment.
The Opportunity- We are seeking a skilled professional to fill two full-time positions, one based at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct and one at Cherry Creek Youth Justice Precinct with travel to other offices.
- The successful candidate will provide specialist advice to senior executives and stakeholders on strategic, programmatic, and service delivery issues.
- Strategic planning and management of operational services in a complex environment is also a key responsibility.
- Workforce planning and effective deployment of personnel resources to meet priorities and objectives will be essential.
- Supporting the Director of Operations in creating and sustaining a workforce culture built on well-defined values, professional excellence, and teamwork is critical.
- Demonstrated expert knowledge and experience within a Correctional, Youth Justice or relevant Human Services environment.
- In-depth knowledge of current legislative requirements pertaining to a custodial environment.
- Leadership and management of a team to deliver services in a complex environment.
A full driver's licence is required due to the need to work flexibly across both custodial precincts, based on operational requirements.
A current Working with Children Check (WWCC) is required and will need to be provided prior to commencement of employment.
