Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Insolvency Analyst to join our Melbourne team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting senior staff with a wide range of corporate insolvency and restructuring appointments.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage all assigned engagements, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
- Brief junior staff on job requirements, allocating responsibilities and tasks as necessary.
- Implement a strong understanding of case law and statutory requirements for each type of formal insolvency appointment.
- Monitor and meet statutory deadlines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate the realization of assets, conducting interviews with directors/bankrupts as needed.
- Liaise with financiers, lawyers, agents, and auctioneers to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
- Apply knowledge of the business environment to provide expert advice and guidance to clients.
- Share knowledge, best practices, and industry trends with the team to enhance overall knowledge and expertise.
- Review the work of junior team members, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
- Design, develop, and analyze financial models to inform business decisions.
- Identify, research, and resolve complex accounting issues, preparing and reviewing detailed financial analysis and investigative reports.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, or a related field with an Accounting Major.
- Relevant experience in corporate insolvency, preferably 3+ years.
- Completed or keen interest to study CAANZ/CPA.
- Strong ethical standards, communication, and report writing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Ability to meet and work towards deadlines, liaising with banks, lawyers, and other professionals as needed.
