Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and to develop your skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all safety procedures are followed at the workplace, and participating in pre-job/toolbox meetings. They will also carry out repairs and maintenance on heavy duty diesel engines and other related equipment, as per base requirements. Additionally, they will assist in the rig-up of equipment during function testing in the yard and with workshop activities, operate and maintain equipment for pre-commissioning projects under instruction from a supervisor, inspect equipment prior to operation at site and safely rig up equipment as per operating procedures, and follow maintenance and site procedures on all work scopes and record performance data.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A technical diploma or extensive experience in heavy duty diesel engines and other related equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, and assembly prints.
  • An extensive knowledge and expertise in pre-commissioning equipment and ability to troubleshoot faults.
  • Advanced analytical skills to find solutions to complex technical problems and computer skills.
