Diesel Mechanic Job Description

This is a challenging and rewarding role for skilled technicians who are passionate about maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet by performing routine maintenance and repairs on Class 5 through Class 8 commercial vehicles.

  • Perform general property and vehicle maintenance & repair duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Safely and accurately diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues related to engines, transmissions, brakes, and suspension systems.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience working with diesel engines, as well as strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance/repair.
  • Air Brake Certification in compliance with FMSCR 396.25 or ability to obtain within 1 year.
  • EPA 609 certification (Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning Repair) or ability to obtain within 1 year.
