We are looking to strengthen our service organization in Australia by hiring a Field Service Engineer to perform equipment installations, validations, service, and repair for all ranges of STERIS equipment within assigned territories.

This remote-based customer-facing role requires you to be based in Brisbane or its surroundings. As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide User Training and troubleshooting support in the Australia market as required, as well as assist the Service Manager/Director in managing spare parts inventory and documentation.

The ideal candidate should have experience in medical equipment maintenance and be willing to travel for job purposes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing technical service functions for STERIS equipment.
  • Performing equipment installations, preventive maintenance, validations, and repairs in the field as assigned.
  • Providing quality product support through customer interface via visits, telephone, or email.
  • Conducting in-service sessions for customers and demonstrating applications with regards to systems, accessories, and techniques.
  • Filing product complaints according to company procedures.
  • Assisting with spare parts inventory management for various products.

Requirements for this role include:

  • A Trades Certificate or Engineering Certificate/Diploma with strong hands-on technical service experience in medical equipment.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repair, modification, overhaul, or refurbishment of standard and special purpose equipment and systems components.
  • An intermediate understanding of DOS and Windows, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity to manipulate tools and equipment.
  • Customer orientation and focus.
  • Ability to travel within Australia as assigned, potentially including occasional international travel.
