Academic Position in Cognitive Science

Macquarie University is seeking a Lecturer in Philosophy to contribute to the teaching of the curriculum in the Mind, Meaning and Metaphysics stream. The appointee will be expected to deliver courses in philosophy of science, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of cognitive science.
\The appointee will also be responsible for contributing to the delivery of first year philosophy units, third-year metaphysics, and potentially research-related seminars in our Masters program. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to supervise MRes and PhD students.
\Required Skills and Qualifications\- a PhD in Philosophy by the time of appointment
- an established research track record of high quality peer reviewed publications, including a list of publications
- a sample of work
- potential to apply for research grants from national and international research bodies
- demonstrated success in undergraduate teaching
- the potential to undertake Postgraduate supervision in Philosophy
- capacity to work in a pluralist department and collaborate with other teachers and researchers
The successful candidate will receive a salary package commensurate with their experience and qualifications. They will also have access to professional development opportunities and a collaborative work environment.
\Others\This is a full-time, fixed-term position for 4 years (3 years if starting after semester 1). The start date is negotiable but no later than July 15th.
