Our Community Rehabilitation Services Team
We are a large interdisciplinary team providing home, telehealth and centre based therapy to various patient populations. This dynamic role may be based across both Repatriation and Royal Talbot campuses.
About the Role
The Senior Physiotherapist will lead our clinical team as a specialist in gerontology, chronic and complex conditions. They will motivate and inspire others with high level knowledge and skills, building capacity and contributing to service improvement. They will provide clinical supervision, teaching, and leadership in areas such as resource utilisation, physiotherapy and exercise physiology streams.
A Day in the Life
- Provide leadership to Physiotherapy and Exercise Physiology teams
- Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to plan, discuss and treat clients
- Conduct centre based, telehealth, home or community individual and group treatment sessions
- Develop goal centred and client centred treatment programs
- Lead team meetings, professional development and quality projects
About You
We seek an experienced physiotherapist with excellent communication skills, a strong commitment to excellence in patient care, energy and drive. To be successful, you will have:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a physiotherapist
- Extensive clinical experience (at least 7 years) in complex and chronic conditions, particularly for older and frail patients
- Demonstrated specialist knowledge and holistic clinical skills in rehabilitation of adults with complex chronic diseases
- High level interpersonal skills promoting team engagement and development
- Ability to undertake professional supervision and promote staff competence
