Job Description

As a Customer Contact Officer, you will respond to and direct all inbound calls, as well as complete online enquiries on behalf of our State Government client.

You will actively listen to each caller to understand their needs and their enquiry, and make a positive impact by allocating calls to the most appropriate area or referral based on the caller's need.

You will also be responsible for making referrals and transferring callers to the most appropriate service, such as emergency services or other relevant agencies.

Additionally, you will be required to complete reports in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience providing high quality customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • The ability to competently navigate software platforms/screens simultaneously
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, with the ability to show empathy
  • Ability to maintain a calm and resilient composure under pressure
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively in a team environment
  • An interest in learning new information and embracing feedback on the job

Others

Our team members answer inbound phone calls from Victorian citizens for non-emergency situations. You may be exposed to sensitive information, but you will not need to handle these call types through to resolution.

You will receive regular check-ins with your Team Leader and be provided with resources to seek help and build your own tailored personal wellbeing plan.
