Aboriginal Community Mental Health Specialist

Aboriginal Family Violence Mental Health Practitioner provides therapeutic support to Aboriginal clients involved with family violence services who experience poor mental health.
The role will provide comprehensive assessment of individual needs, creating linkages with mental health supports and resources, providing education and secondary consultation around mental health, AOD, trauma, and complex trauma.
Culturally appropriate support is essential in this position. The practitioner must have knowledge and expertise in mental health, AOD, trauma-informed approaches, and culturally safe interventions.
The successful candidate will be able to negotiate and build formal and informal partnerships to strengthen team relationships and promote service to other programs.
