Culturally Safe Aboriginal Mental Health Practitioner

This role provides therapeutic and culturally appropriate support to Aboriginal clients involved with Family Violence services who are experiencing poor mental health.
Key Responsibilities:- Culturally safe assessment of individual needs
- Therapeutic interventions and response
- Case management support from initial intake through to closure
- Secondary consultation, providing advice and guidance to professionals and care teams
- Service development through coordinating review, identifying gaps and implementing improvements
- Understanding of Aboriginal societies and cultures
- Mental health expertise, AOD knowledge and trauma informed approaches
- Demonstrated experience in service development
- Ability to negotiate and build partnerships
- Valid Police Check and Working with Children's Check
