Kitchen Steward Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Kitchen Steward to join our team at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, one of Australia's premier sporting venues.

Job Responsibilities
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen area.
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) regulations by conducting regular checks and managing cross-contamination risks.
  • Support kitchen staff in maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.
  • Perform various cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, and waste management.
  • Show flexibility in working across a range of shifts over a 7-day roster.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a Kitchen Hand is highly desirable.
  • Hold a Food Safety Certificate or be willing to obtain one.
