Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering commercial projects as a project architect, with a minimum of 5-6+ years of experience.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills that foster team development and encourage a collaborative studio environment. Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Establishing project delivery strategies and developing project plans, QA plans, and project resourcing;
  • Working with other business groups to develop client relationships and secure architectural and interior design-related projects;
  • Assisting in submitting registrations of interest and proposals;
  • Assisting the Business Group Leader in achieving financial targets related to new work, invoicing, and chargeable time;
  • Building effective relationships with other business groups to develop innovative solutions for clients;
  • Directing projects with supervision from a Technical Director of Architecture, liaising with Clients, and mentoring team members;
  • Collaboratively designing and documenting projects across different typologies;
  • Directing technical performance on projects, carrying out regular reviews, and adhering to quality plans;
  • Participating in local, national, and global project design reviews;

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered architect in Australian states and territories (ACT is preferable);
  • Strong leadership skills that foster team development and encourage a collaborative studio environment;
  • Minimum of 5-6+ years working in architectural firms delivering commercial projects as a project architect;
  • Architectural design and documentation skills for commercial project delivery;
  • Excellent verbal and graphic presentation skills;
  • Sound working knowledge and understanding of the Building Code of Australia and relevant Australian Standards;
  • Sound Specification & Contract writing skills related to the architectural practice;
  • Proficient in the use and application of AutoCAD and Revit;
  • Understanding of Microsoft Project, Adobe Indesign, Photoshop;
