Assistant in Nursing

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant in Nursing to join our Mental Health Drug and Alcohol Casual Pool. The successful candidate will provide support to the nursing team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, assisting in the provision of nursing care to mental health patients within an acute care setting.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate;
  • Completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care);
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both written and verbal communication skills incorporating effective interpersonal skills;
  • Experience in acute mental health clinical placements as part of undergraduate nursing degree or AIN course.
