Mechanical Engineer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Brisbane.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to make a real impact in a rapidly evolving industry.

You will be responsible for directly influencing the transition to renewable energy systems and decarbonisation.

You will work with a diverse range of clients on brownfields projects and new builds, offering a collaborative multidisciplinary engineering team experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec quality standards
  • Maintain mechanical engineering standards across all projects
  • Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and peers
  • Recommend improvements to engineering systems and processes
  • Continuously develop industry networks and contacts
  • Have an opinion, challenge the norm, and provide constructive feedback wherever possible
Requirements
  • Experience in a range of mechanical engineering skills, particularly piping and pressure vessel design, and analysis of static equipment
  • Experience to carry out mechanical engineering design and documentation from concept through to construction stage
  • Experience working in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy industries
  • Experience in development, application, and preservation of engineering and design standards, systems and processes
  • Experience using PVElite and AutoPIPE or other equivalent design software
  • Experience generating engineering estimates and quotations
  • The ability to work independently on multiple projects with conflicting deadlines
  • A Mechanical or Mechatronics degree or equivalent experience/qualifications (mandatory)
