About the role As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your responsibility will be: Delivering project requirements according to agreed schedules consistent with Verbrec and client's quality standards, Maintaining mechanical engineering standards across all projects, Providing technical guidance to junior engineers and peers, Recommending improvements to engineering systems and processes, Continuously developing industry networks and contacts, Working with our clients to help identify efficiency opportunities and reach decarbonisation (ESG) targets, Having an opinion, challenging the norm, and providing constructive feedback wherever possible.
About you You will be capable of working with a close-knit team of engineers, designers and project engineers to deliver projects to an excellent standard.
As a professional engineer you will offer: Minimum of 5 years' experience in the design of oil, gas and energy, terminals or refining, Proven Australian experience in oil and gas, mining, refining, terminal, tank farm or bulk fuel distribution, A deep understanding of relevant design codes such as ASME B31.3, AS 4041, API 650, ASME VIII or AS 2885, Experienced in pipe stress analysis (Auto PIPE or Caesar II), Site, fabrication or construction experience is viewed positively but not essential, CPEng / RPEQ or equivalent, or near completion, You are a great team player, with the ability to work within or guide teams, Ability to perform engineering tasks with minimal supervision, A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Ability to manage your time and work independently.
