The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Driver Trainer to join our team in Bulwer Island or Rocklea QLD. As a Driver Trainer, you will be responsible for providing specialized training, assessment, and coaching to Toll drivers on all aspects of their duties, including induction, legislative requirements, and Toll Group procedures.
The successful candidate will implement the business driver training strategy, incorporating risk, quality, HSE, and human resource management systems. They will also be responsible for conducting training programs, assessing driver competencies, and coaching drivers to safely and effectively carry out work processes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver training programs to support delivery of Toll Group driver training initiatives
- Assess driver competencies and prepare individual driver assessment reports
- Coach drivers to safely and effectively carry out work processes
- Plan and coordinate training requirements and activities
- Support the design and development of quality driver training materials
- Ensure all mandatory training requirements are met within the business
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Training and Assessment
- Heavy Vehicle Drivers Licence (Prefer MC), DG licence
- Knowledge of HV mass management, fatigue management, dangerous goods, load restraint, road transport rules and regulations
- Experience as a skilled and competent driver/MHE operator and being an experienced and competent Trainer and Assessor
- A can-do approach towards driver safety, coaching, and risk reduction
- Intermediate Microsoft office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with strong written and verbal communication skills
