Laboratory Technician Job Opportunity

This is an exciting role for a skilled individual to join our team as a Laboratory Technician. As a key member of our laboratory, you will be responsible for conducting various tests and analyses on construction materials in the field and laboratory.

About the Role

The primary duties of this position include sampling concrete on job sites, preparing samples for testing, testing concrete and aggregates, calibrating equipment, entering data into computer systems, and analyzing results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct field and laboratory tests on construction materials
  • Samples and test concrete and other construction materials
  • Adhere to safe work instructions and procedures
  • Maintain laboratory accreditation
  • Perform equipment calibration and basic maintenance
  • Assist the technical team to ensure customer requirements are met

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong desire to start or continue a career in the construction material testing industry
  • An Australian Drivers License
  • A Certificate III in Laboratory Techniques (desirable but not essential)
  • Self-motivation, a strong work ethic, and initiative
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking skills
  • Proven ability to work both autonomously and within a team
