Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead a high-performing team responsible for overseeing premium beef processing through third-party sites.

This role ensures timely, specification-compliant production for global markets, focusing on quality, efficiency, and productivity.

You will drive the operational direction in meat processing, building strong relationships with our suppliers to ensure compliance and delivery to specs with a focus on customer service.

You will work closely with internal teams and our sales force to maintain high standards and brand reputation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee production at third-party locations, ensuring adherence to quality and grading standards.
  • Drive productivity, yield, and quality through balanced scorecards and performance metrics.
  • Lead the management of ongoing relevant certifications to ensure they meet commercial objectives and legal obligations.
  • Lead project management initiatives to improve processes, systems, and benchmarking.
  • Ensure food safety standards are adhered to, and any concerns are escalated/addressed.
Team & People Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, setting targets and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong local and industry relationships, acting as a positive representative of the organization.
Stakeholder & Supplier Management
  • Cultivate strong relationships with third-party processors, ensuring quality and compliance with contracts.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including Commercial and Operations, for seamless collaboration and alignment.
Finance & Compliance
  • Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and KPI monitoring, ensuring effective cost management.
  • Ensure all regulatory, food safety, and animal welfare standards are consistently met.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 5+ years in a leadership role within beef processing (Wagyu experience a plus).
  • Proven success in managing third-party processors and complex SKU portfolios.
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and analytical abilities.
  • Proactive, self-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
