Underground Mining Supervisor

As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the success of hard-rock underground mining operations across Australia and globally.

The Role

This position involves supervising production and development mining crews, ensuring their safety and the achievement of rapid development targets. You will be responsible for providing front-line supervision and guidance to crew members, motivating them and delivering regular performance feedback.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with safety and standard operating procedures as a positive safety leader.
  • Coordinate jumbo activities, including bolting, screening, and boring, to ensure efficiency and quality of development work.
  • Oversee production drilling, mucking, and hauling operations to meet daily and long-term productivity targets and KPIs.
  • Conduct daily safety interactions and required administrative tasks, mentor crew members on best practices, and promote positive safety standards.
Requirements:
  • A commitment to working safely while ensuring the safety of others.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of underground mining experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years in a supervisory role.
  • Production mining experience is an asset.
