Job Title

• A permanent part-time position is available in our childcare centre, working primarily during school hours to prepare and serve delicious meals to children aged between 6 weeks and 5 years.

• As a caterer, you will have the opportunity to use your cooking skills and passion for preparing nutritious food to great effect. You will be responsible for planning, displaying, delivering and evaluating fortnightly menus that meet the dietary needs of the children, while also ensuring the health, hygiene and safety standards of the kitchen are maintained.

• This role provides a unique opportunity to work with a supportive team and make a positive impact on the lives of the children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, display, deliver and evaluate fortnightly menus that meet the dietary needs of the children.
  • Ensure the health, hygiene and safety standards of the kitchen are maintained.
  • Champion and maintain the quality of customer service provided by the centre.
Requirements:
  • A TAFE Certificate of Attainment in Food Hygiene or equivalent qualification.
  • Recent experience in a similar role catering for large groups.
  • A Safe Food Handling Certificate.
  • A current valid Working with Children Check Clearance.

• This role offers a commencing salary range of $26.67 to $28.50 per hour dependent on skills and experience, plus 10.5% superannuation.
