We are seeking a highly motivated and talented PhD candidate to join our team at the National Centre for Reconciliation Practice. The successful applicant will work on a specific project focused on the Australian reconciliation movement, exploring the complexities and nuances of this critical area of research.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing literature on reconciliation and develop a deep understanding of the current state of research in this field.
- Collaborate with our supervisory team to develop a research plan that aligns with the goals and objectives of the National Centre for Reconciliation Practice.
- Collect and analyze data to inform the research project, working independently to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes.
- Prepare and submit written and oral research reports to stakeholders, including the supervisory team and industry partners.
- Develop and submit publications from the research project to peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Meet the requirements of the University's HDR Training Policy by submitting milestone reports and a thesis.
- Contribute to a multidisciplinary research team, working collaboratively with end-users, industry partners, and researchers to achieve shared goals.
- Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, data analysis, and critical problem-solving skills.
- Exhibit excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Show evidence of good oral and written communication skills.
- Have a strong ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary research team.
- Meet Swinburne's entry requirements for the Doctor of Philosophy.
- Be available to commence the PhD candidature in early 2022.
