About the Role

As a Catering Assistant at Calvary, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient meal services in a supportive team environment. This role involves working across various roles to ensure patients receive suitable, safe, and nutritious meals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plating, distribution, and collection of patient meals
  • Delivery of fluids and mid-meals
  • Preparation of food and beverages
  • Stock rotation and control
  • Cleaning duties
  • Use of an industrial dishwasher

This position works on a 7-day roster with variable shift times and durations. You will be required to maintain HACCP & Food Safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements
  • Current Food Handlers Certificate
  • Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and follow HACCP & Food Safety Principles, policies, and procedures in line with required standards
  • Demonstrated written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to adhere to strict schedules and deadlines
  • Ability to work well as a team member as well as independently
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to learn new software
  • Ability to cover a rotating roster across 7 days
  • Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary
