Job Opportunity: Banking and Finance Lawyer

We are seeking a seasoned banking and finance lawyer to provide expert counsel on business transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Structure, draft, negotiate and review transaction documents, guaranteeing alignment with client objectives.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and external advisers to implement risk management strategies.
  • Develop and maintain legal templates, guidelines and training materials for deal teams.
  • Monitor changes in banking and finance laws and regulations, advising clients accordingly.
  • Collaborate with the broader legal team to deliver strategic and operational objectives.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience in banking and finance law.
  • Strong background in business banking, corporate finance and trade finance.
  • Proven drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously.
  • Current practising certificate as a solicitor in Australia.
