The Spark Consortium has been selected for the Central Package of the North East Link Project, Victoria's largest road project. The project involves delivering twin three-lane tunnels and key interchanges for the project.

About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Permit Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the permit-to-work procedure and ensuring compliance across the project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete and maintain permit workflows in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure the Permit to Work procedure meets relevant safety KPIs in accordance with project objectives.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project managers to prepare and submit permits.
  • Receive and process permit applications.
  • Coordinate site walks with engineers and supervisors prior to issuing permits.
  • Maintain the Permit register and Records management.
  • Attend zone coordination meetings to discuss and manage SIMOPS issues.
  • Prepare information for monthly reports on building and construction activities.
Requirements:
  • WH&S/OHS Cert IV or in the process of obtaining.
  • Must have Permit Issuer MSMWHS217, MSMWHS201, MSMPER300.
  • A proficient level of knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Systems.
  • Previous experience in a similar role for at least 4 years.
  • Ideal experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Contractor on a construction project.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic and background in construction.
  • The ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision.
  • A detail-oriented person with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ability to successfully work with and serve a diverse local community.
  • The ability to identify issues or problems and develop solutions to resolve them.
  • A working level of knowledge in AutoCAD.
  • Excellent attitude and awareness of Safety.

Please note that this project is a large-scale T1 project with potential for 24/7 shift work. We will aim for weekend work to be split fairly between employees, but there may be occasions for evening shift work.
