Plant and Operations Director

The General Manager of Plant and Fleet will be responsible for overseeing effective plant management across the entire value chain. This involves strategic leadership in fleet planning, accounting, and coordination with a focus on commercial outcomes, cost savings, and championing values of safety, sustainability, and innovation.
This is a key role that requires strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to drive business growth through effective plant management strategies. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in asset management and experience in developing and operationalizing fleet management strategies.
- Develop and execute medium- and long-term plant management strategies to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency.
- Perform plant accounting, maintenance strategies, and best practices in preventative maintenance to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Identify and implement improvements, optimizations, and acquisition opportunities to enhance plant operations and reduce costs.
- Maintain the plant asset register and oversee plant coordination to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Provide expert advice on policy and legislative changes affecting reporting requirements to ensure compliance.
- Oversee outsourced plant administration to ensure efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, or a related field.
- Commercially astute, data-driven decision-maker with a collaborative approach.
- Demonstrated experience in an Asset Management leadership role.
- Safety and risk leadership through continuous improvement practices for plants.
- Experience in developing and operationalizing fleet management strategies.
- Operated in complex, matrixed environments with ability to create and deliver strategic business goals.
