The role of the 10SQN Aircrew Publications Officer is a critical part of the Surveillance and Response Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical data knowledge and expertise to support the publication management system for MC-55 Air Operational Orders, Instructions and Publications (OIP).

Main Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring Quality and Compliance: The candidate will ensure the quality and compliance of the MC-55 Air Operational Publication (OIP) suite with Defence policy.

2. Managing the Improvement Process: The successful candidate will manage the improvement process for the OIP suite, including coordinating workflows and obtaining approval from various subject matter experts and sponsors.

3. Building Relationships: The candidate will build and maintain relationships with peers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts to identify requirements and resolve technical issues.

4. Producing Publications: The successful candidate will produce and amend publications that comply with Defence policies and standards.

5. Ensuring Efficient Production: The candidate will ensure the efficient and effective production, distribution, and accessibility of the OIP suite.

6. Communication and Coordination: The successful candidate will independently communicate and coordinate with technical engineering authorities.

7. Supporting the Publication Management System: The candidate will support the publication management system by delivering training, creating and maintaining bench level instructions, and updating publication management standing instructions.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the MC-55 Air Operational OIP suite of documents, ensuring their quality, compliance, and accessibility. They will work closely with various subject matter experts, technical authorities, and stakeholders to coordinate and produce accurate and up-to-date publications. The candidate will also be responsible for engaging and liaising with various parties to identify requirements and resolve technical issues.
