Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Good Samaritan Catholic College is seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to support our teaching staff in delivering effective learning and teaching programs for students. This role involves assisting with the planning, preparation and delivery of engaging lessons, monitoring student progress and providing evidence-based intervention strategies to improve student outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong skills in planning, preparing and delivering effective teaching programs, as well as the ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions. They will also possess expertise in supporting diverse learning needs and collaborating with specialists to coordinate intervention groups.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the planning, preparation and delivery of effective learning and teaching programs for students
  • Monitor the progress of students and identify learning areas to provide evidence-based intervention strategies
  • Collaborate with school specialists to organize and assist with intervention groups
  • Document observation notes, intervention programs and assist in the collation and preparation of classroom materials

Requirements:

  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong skills in planning, preparing and delivering effective teaching programs
  • Ability to monitor student progress and apply evidence-based interventions
  • Expertise in supporting diverse learning needs to improve student outcomes
  • Collaborative skills to work with specialists and coordinate intervention groups
  • Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent
