Service Engineer Role in Retail Food Service

This role offers the opportunity to work with customers across Australia, providing exceptional customer support for installed systems and new installations. The position involves supporting valued customers by delivering high-quality services and developing skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive team at customer sites and in the office to deliver exceptional service.
  • Plan, execute, and report on preventative equipment maintenance visits to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Conduct site visits to address customer needs and resolve production issues efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot complex control systems and perform break fix services for high-technology food processing equipment.
  • Evaluate and install machine enhancements, test, and calibrate parts to meet product specifications and tolerances.
  • Maintain high levels of communication and collaboration with customer management and supervisors to ensure outstanding customer experience.

Requirements and Skills:
  • Industrial Electrical trade background or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, including diagnosis and repair of complex control systems.
  • Experience in interpreting electrical schematic diagrams and circuit diagrams.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in FMCG, is highly regarded.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Windows OS is desirable.
  • Cert III or Cert IV Instrumentation and Control with experience is highly valued.
  • Familiarity with conveyors, process lines, motors, VSDs, and automation equipment.
  • Ability and willingness to work weekends and out-of-hours shifts.
  • Ideal location: within 1-2 hours' travel time from a capital city or major regional airport in Western Australia.
