Senior Web Engineer Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Web Engineer to join our mobile development team.
About the Role:
  • This is an opportunity for a talented web developer with experience in TypeScript and Android mobile web to drive technical innovation.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in front-end engineering, video playback technologies, and rendering pipelines optimization.
  • They will be responsible for investigating and implementing solutions for video playback using rendered frames in web, as well as optimizing rendering pipelines on Android Mobile Web.
  • The successful candidate will be able to think cross-platform and have deep mobile development experience using web technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigate and implement solutions for video playback using rendered frames in web.
  • Optimize rendering pipelines on Android Mobile Web, including memory usage, GPU performance, and frame timing.
  • Explore compositor integration strategies to maximize playback accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with browser and backend teams to align on format, timing, and performance tradeoffs.
  • Contribute to cross-platform solutions that may extend to iOS or other environments as needed.
Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge and experience of TypeScript in Android mobile web.
  • Problem-solving and user impact before attachment to any one language or platform.
  • Thriving in ambiguity and adapting quickly in fast-evolving projects.
  • Deep mobile development experience using web technologies but comfortable thinking cross-platform.
  • Understanding of the intersection of GPU, CPU, and browser rendering systems.
