Intermediate Auditor

We are seeking a skilled Auditor to join our team. This opportunity suits someone who has recently finished their Graduate year or has experience as an intermediate and is looking to take the next step forward in the Audit career.

You will continue developing your skills in learning an end-to-end Audit process and work on diverse clients while learning from Managers and leaders within the team.

  • Preparing and completing audit engagements
  • Preparing cashflow statements
  • Reconciling client accounts and accounting records
  • Prepare financial statements for small clients
  • Reviewing financial statements
  • Preparing statutory financial reports from a client's trial balance
  • Testing and evaluating the design and interpretation of relevant controls within a business, and the operating effectiveness of those controls
  • Preparing first draft management letters for smaller audit clients
  • Preparing basic tax calculations

To be successful you must have:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree
  • Actively completing your CA or CPA
  • 12 months' minimum experience in an Accounting firm in Audit
  • Strong communications skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to build and maintain trust, rapport and relationships
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exposure to accounting software, including Caseware desirable
  • Basic exposure to a range of technical accounting and audit issues
  • Auditing standards (AUASB) and Accounting standards (AASB and IFRS)
