We are seeking a highly skilled Audit Specialist to join our Asia Pacific (APAC) regional Audit Services Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing internal audit engagements.
This includes planning, developing audit scope, maintaining budget and timeframes, preparing reports, and ensuring department standards are properly met.
- You will provide input to improve operational efficiency and/or enhance the design or operating effectiveness of the internal control environment.
- The role provides technical expertise, focusing on Operational Resilience, Business Continuity Management, and Information Security.
You will function in various roles on audit engagements, including leading audits, staffing audits, and providing consulting or oversight functions based on the needs of the team.
- Coordinate and collaborate with the global technology audit team on the identification of risks and execution of internal audits in line with the internal audit plan.
- Manage internal audit projects related to Operational Resilience, Business Continuity, Information Technology General Controls (ITGC), information security/cyber, business application, and integrated business audits.
- Provide technical expertise to the APAC and IT Audit Teams and use sound audit practices.
- Maintain familiarization and technical expertise with assigned business units, including organizational structure, personnel, activities, and products.
- Responsible for staying current on regulations and changes within the industry, designing and delivering audit engagements in accordance with regulations.
- Interact and partner with Senior and Executive Management to understand risks within the business, business changes, and other significant events that could significantly affect the business and/or the audit plan.
- Participate in targeted senior-level committees and client meetings, present to corporate Audit and Business Risk Committees, Oversight Committees, Legal Entity Boards, and Risk Committees as required.
- Communicate with external auditors and various regional risk committees as part of ongoing continuous monitoring which assists in managing the Audit Plan.
- Manage and perform special projects as assigned.
- Participate in meetings with business units to discuss audit results.
- Communicate with partners at all levels, developing and presenting recommendations on operations and controls for the business unit.
- During audit engagements, assign work to auditors, set priorities, and monitor activity.
- Utilize understanding of various Corporate units to ensure operations, services, and systems have proper audit controls in place.
- Reviews audit work, including work paper documentation, findings, and recommendations, and the final report to ensure appropriate adherence to the Corporation's/Department's Policies and Standards.
- Evaluate corporate management, business processes, business controls, and operating practices during audits and consulting/monitoring engagements.
- Apply analytical skills to review information and determine potential control weaknesses.
