The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Hydrologist to lead our flood modelling activities on infrastructure projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, coordination, and project reporting on hydraulic projects within the infrastructure space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead flood modelling activities on infrastructure projects
  • Oversee the design, coordination, and project reporting on hydraulic projects
  • Work on various scales of projects across the life cycle, from concept to end of life
  • Engage with government clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to drive outstanding service delivery
  • Provide effective leadership, direction, technical advice, and champion a culture of delivering on quality and client expectations
  • Provide mentorship to junior flood modellers
Requirements:
  • Technical leadership skills, with a focus on infrastructure projects
  • 5-10 years of experience in flood modelling, surface water, and river flooding
  • An extensive knowledge of GIS, TUFLOW, DRAINS, and 12D or other civil works packages
  • A knowledge of flood-related planning approvals and Australian Rainfall and Runoff
