Our Available Role
We are seeking a recent law graduate or PLT student to join our team as a Practical Legal Training (PLT) student. This is an unpaid position with prospects of gaining employment with us. As a PLT student, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a commercial law firm and develop your skills in litigation, dispute resolution, and other areas of law.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend client meetings and court hearings, taking minutes and file notes respectively.
- Assist in the preparation of internal processes, procedures, policies, guidelines, and protocols.
- Assist in the preparation of precedent documents and checklists.
- Draft publications and legal updates on topical legal issues across a wide range of areas of law.
- Perform legal research and draft research memorandums.
- Draft statements of claim, affidavits, and other forms and processes.
- Provide administrative assistance, including file management, diary maintenance, and office management.
About You
To be successful in this role, you must be committed to establishing a career in commercial private legal practice and have a keen interest in litigation and dispute resolution. You should demonstrate a proven record of legal ability, whether through academic success, prior industry experience, or relevant extracurricular activities.
