Technical Automation Lead

Job Description:

This role involves leading the technical implementation of workload automation, with a focus on advancing enterprise batch services. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing workload automation tools in a large corporate environment.

The successful applicant will provide expert-level support for major incidents impacting batch tool availability, and provide hands-on support for upgrading, patching, and configuring batch scheduler tools.

Key responsibilities include designing, building, and implementing technical solutions for control-M, ESP, and TWS/IWS; providing expert-level support for major incidents; and providing hands-on support for upgrading, patching, and configuring batch scheduler tools.

The ideal candidate will also manage agent upgrade, patches, and certificate renewals; design, build, and implement automation for managing batch tools, agents, and certificates; and support, maintain, and improve the batch architecture in line with business requirements.

Additionally, the Technical Automation Lead will manage batch scheduling processes and standards, liaise with batch designers and developers to support them in delivering optimal batch flow solutions, and provide technical leadership in migrating scheduling tools to new infrastructure.

Qualifications for this role include at least 10 years of IT industry experience in a highly technical role relating to batch, extensive experience in supporting and maintaining control-M, senior level experience in supporting and maintaining ESP Workload Automation and TWS/IWS, and extensive experience with batch operations and batch scheduling.

The successful applicant will also possess strategic thinking skills, be able to drive forward the strategic roadmap for batch, and have extensive experience with both mainframe and midrange hosting environments.

Expert analysis, problem-solving, and troubleshooting, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills, are essential for this role.

A tertiary qualification in IT is highly desirable.
