Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Critical Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the skills and experience to provide exceptional care to critically ill and injured patients.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing timely and effective treatment and patient care, working directly with our skilled veterinary team. This includes monitoring patients closely, administering medications, assisting with medical and surgical procedures as needed, IV catheter placement, blood collection, and advanced critical monitoring in our dedicated CCU.

Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with hospital protocols is also an essential part of this role.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent with minimum 2 years nursing experience
  • A passion to advance your skills with regular continuing education and ongoing mentorship
  • Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Ability to provide high-quality patient care even in busy conditions
  • A friendly, team-player attitude - team culture is very important to us
  • Strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work across days, evenings, overnight, weekends, and some public holidays
