We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Consultant to lead the implementation of our newly updated Planned Surgery Access policy and agreed priorities with the Victorian Department of Health.
This is a 2-year fixed-term position that will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager of the Patient Support Unit, which is situated offsite from the main hospital.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for:
- Gap analysis and redesign of process change for the surgical preparation waitlist management
- Reviewing and modernizing surgical-based models of care
- Data reporting internally to our organization and the Victorian Department of Health
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, project management skills, and the ability to think and work strategically.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance patient care and outcomes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement new models of care
- Provide data-driven insights to inform business decisions and drive quality improvement
Requirements:
- Current Nursing and/or Midwifery Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Agency
- Specific postgraduate qualification and 12 months of experience working in the clinical area of their specified postgraduate qualification
- A minimum of four years of post-registration experience, including three years of experience in the relevant specialist field
- Demonstrated high-level clinical leadership, including the ability to think and work strategically
