Job Description

The Valuation and Property Officer position is crucial to our organization, as it will assist us in meeting our valuation requirements for rating, statutory and corporate purposes.

This role includes:

  • Undertaking valuations for asset, insurance, rental, and other purposes
  • Supporting the management of Council owned and managed properties
  • Providing specialist valuation advice to management and responding to queries from members of the public
  • Managing the supplementary valuation process and undertaking all report checks
  • Assisting with the maintenance of Council's property and leasing registers and systems

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need;

  • Tertiary qualifications in Valuations and an associate membership of the Australian Property Institute including being a Certified Practicing Valuer with post-admission experience
  • Knowledge and experience with rating valuations including supplementary valuations and an understanding of the Valuer General approval process
  • Knowledge and understanding of asset valuations, insurance valuations and market valuation principles
  • Familiarity with the principles and practices of budgeting and relevant financial procedures
