We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Manager to join our team at CEDA – the Committee for Economic Development of Australia. As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for managing and delivering innovative, high-quality face-to-face, hybrid, and digital events on a permanent ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities- Event Planning and Execution: Support and administer face-to-face and digital event planning, marketing, and pre, during, and post-event delivery, including speaker liaison, venue booking, AV, supplier coordination, onsite setup, and registration.
- Event Marketing and Promotion: Build, publish, and market events as per programming and marketing deadlines using the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics) and CMS.
- Sponsor Relationship Management: Support sponsor relationships by managing deliverables according to contract arrangements for events.
- Virtual Event Support: Participate in virtual roundtables and provide support to speakers, hosts, and attendees.
- Event Administration: Prepare event materials, and administration, including event budgets and reporting.
- Customer Service: Provide daily customer service contact and response to enquiries around events, as well as wider CEDA activities, including regularly managing the events inbox as part of an all-team schedule.
- Office Management: Ad hoc office management activities to deliver effective daily operation, including ordering/receiving office provisions, WHS requirements, and engagement with building management and external suppliers.
- Self-Starter with Excellent Time Management and Prioritisation Skills
- Experience and Confidence in Engaging with a Range of Internal and External Stakeholders
- Demonstrated High-Level Accuracy, Efficiency, and Organisational Skills, Combined with Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills
- Experience and Proficiency in CRM/CMS and MS Office
- Keen Interest in Current and Emerging Public Policy Issues
- Critical Thinking, Passion for Innovation, and Commercial Awareness
- At Least 2+ Years' Experience in Event Management and Coordination
- Ability to Work as Part of a Multifunctional, Multidisciplinary National Team, Valuing Collegiate Team Effort and Alignment to CEDA Values
