About This Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our installation team. As an apprentice, you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of staircase construction, installation, and measurement while gaining ongoing employment and future career opportunities.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their apprenticeship or take their carpentry skills to the next level. You will be employed directly by us and work alongside experienced carpenters, installing staircases in new builds across Sydney.

All training costs will be paid by us, and you will receive above award rates plus tool and travel allowances.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work as part of the installation team, gaining experience in custom stair building and carpentry techniques
  • Opportunity to acquire unique skills and enhance your knowledge and experience in residential building and construction industry
  • Build your product knowledge bank in high-end timber
  • Escalate your supply and installation understanding, from production to installed stairs
  • Broaden your construction plan interpretation skills with measurements/take-offs for staircase needs
  • Stay informed with Building Code requirements for all aspects of staircase engineering
  • Be challenged to learn and meet project deadlines working within an exciting team environment
Requirements
  • Looking to study (or currently studying) certificate III in carpentry or joinery
  • Current Driver's Licence (provisional or full licence)
  • White Card
  • Reliable transport
  • A positive can-do attitude, working together and always approach challenges with an open mind
  • Willingness and ability to learn - learn our systems and programs, training provided to up-skill
  • Strong time management skills, and the ability to prioritise
  • Problem solve and resolve issues - we approach problems with a continuous improvement mindset
