About the Role

This role is part of our payroll team and will be responsible for contributing to the efficient end-to-end processing of apprentice and trainee payroll.

You will also assist with responding to enquiries, maintaining systems and processes, and ensuring data integrity.

Responsibilities
  • Process tri-weekly pay runs, back pay, tax adjustments and off-cycle payments accurately and on time.
  • Interpret and understand compliance for various awards and Fair Work legislation.
  • Complete payroll activities related to employee onboarding and offboarding.
  • Assist the Team Leader with costings and reconciliation.
  • Reconcile all backend payroll processing, including superannuation, taxation and deductions.
  • Process wage subsidy and incentive claims for apprentices and trainees.
  • Provide payroll support to employees, host employers and other stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Experience with end-to-end payroll processing and high-volume invoicing.
  • Effective communication skills, particularly in customer service.
  • High attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • IT skills, strong with Excel, and experience with payroll systems.
