Power and Water Corporation is a government-owned utility in the Northern Territory, responsible for a vast area of 1.3 million square kilometres, encompassing a variety of environmental conditions, from arid deserts to tropical regions. The corporation is dedicated to generating, transmitting, and distributing electricity, as well as providing water and wastewater treatment services throughout the Northern Territory for the benefit of all residents, including remote Aboriginal communities.

We are seeking two skilled Water and Sewer Coordinators to enhance our operational efficiency by managing and supervising the maintenance, repairs, and operations of our water and wastewater assets.

Your role will involve ensuring that water and wastewater systems are maintained and operated in accordance with established service levels and regulatory requirements. This will be achieved through effective management of daily repairs and operations of the associated assets.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing 24/7 service coverage and prompt responses to system disruptions.
  • Conducting regular inspections and travel to remote community assets.
  • Utilizing your AQF Certificate III in water or wastewater operations or a formal trade certificate in a related field.
  • Leveraging significant experience in the installation, repair, and maintenance of water and wastewater equipment.
