About the Horticulture Role:

We are seeking a skilled Horticulture Teacher to deliver high-quality vocational education and support student success across diverse learning environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement inclusive, flexible, and contemporary teaching practices
  • Develop and maintain high-quality educational resources and materials
  • Engage with industry stakeholders to ensure vocational relevance and expertise
  • Support students through learning plans and academic guidance
  • Maintain compliance with AQTF and RTO standards and best practices
  • Participate in moderation, validation, and continuous improvement activities
  • Mentor and support entry-level teachers and contribute to team-based program delivery

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Relevant vocational qualifications and current industry experience
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122/TAE40116) or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of teaching methodologies and learner-centred approaches
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and ICT skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Experience in student engagement and support
  • Knowledge of current issues in vocational education
